The Democratic Alliance in eThekwini has accused the ruling ANC of failing to collect municipal debt of over R11-billion.
Debtors include government departments, residents, private companies and the Ingonyama Trust. The biggest debtor is Transnat Africa, a company owned by former president Jacob Zuma's relatives, and appointed in 2009 to operate municipal bus services. It owes more than R300 million.
