Hundreds of people gathered at Hoërskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark for an emotional night vigil, after a concrete slab collapsed at the school, killing three children and seriously injuring 23 others.
The structural collapse happened on Friday morning.
A distraught Donovan Olckers, who lost his son Roydon (17) in the collapse told News24 he was an energetic person who loved sport and dancing.
Roydon is one of two male pupils and a female who died on the scene on Friday morning. They were aged between 13 and 18. Twenty-three learners were injured in the accident - five of them seriously. They were all taken to hospital for treatment.
