If you’re considering learning the art of card counting, there are a few things that you should know before heading out to a casino and trying your luck.
While card counting is not illegal as long as no external card counting device or person assists the player, it is heavily frowned upon by the casinos. If they suspect you may be counting cards, they will make leave the casino, possibly head first and probably with two burly security cards attached to your arms. Card Counting is simple enough to understand, it involves placing cards in certain groups, giving them certain values and then remembering them when it comes time to deal the cards. The most popular card counting technique is called Hi Lo and is explained in great detail in the video.
While this is one of the more favored techniques to learn, it also happens to be one of the hardest so before you begin learning it, you will need to make sure you have enough time set aside to learning it properly. Of course, you’ll also need to learn how to utilize the new techniques you’ve learnt and it never hurts to practice at home, perhaps with a friend or family member acting as the dealer.
